LG Electronics (LG) continues to impress the public with its multifunctional line-up of Home Entertainment products.  On top of being recognized for superb picture quality, the LG 84-inch Ultra HD TV was recently commended for its outstanding energy efficiency.

Recently launched in the Philippines, LG’s 84LM9600 Ultra HD TV model contains eight million pixels and boasts of four times higher resolution than Full HD.  With this, no one would question its crystal-clear picture quality, even while standing at a massive 84 inches for an enthralling viewing experience.  What makes this TV go beyond expectations is how low it can go with energy consumption.

This affirmation was given by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a US-based certification agency that verifies environmentally friendly elements, such as reduced power consumption and higher resource recycling rate, through Environmental Claims Validations (ECV).  LG’s Ultra HD TV obtained the ECV after proving that its power consumption can be reduced by up to 70 percent while maintaining sharp and crisp images.

Using its Smart Energy Saving technology, LG is able to capitalize on its highest power saving mode with any viewing condition, allowing users to enjoy the TV for a long period of time without having to worry about hefty costs.

The LG 84LM9600 TV was further acclaimed by the Underwriters Laboratories of USA and TÜV Rheinland, Europe, for its excellent picture quality.  The accolade also addressed the TV’s extensive color gamut, response speed, luminance deviation, color temperature, and screen flickering.

“Underwriters Laboratories has certified the world-class technology of the LG Ultra HD TV for its energy saving capability and top-notch picture quality,” states Sanghui Park, vice president of LG TV’s Research and Development (R&D).  “We will maintain our leadership in the next-generation display market based on this.”

On top of energy efficiency and excellent picture quality, the LG Ultra HD TV delivers powerful sound quality with its 50W audio bursting from a 2.2 speaker system.  It is also equipped with LG’s Smart technology, in which users can easily enjoy their favorite programs, access preferred applications, connect to other devices, and share video content with anyone at any time or place.  These options are facilitated by the customizable Smart home interface on the screen and controlled by users through LG’s upgraded Magic Remote, which requires nothing more than pointing, wheeling, drawing, and speaking to execute commands.
