LG Electronics (LG) continues to impress the public with its multifunctional line-up of Home Entertainment products. On top of being recognized for superb picture quality, the LG 84-inch Ultra HD TV was recently commended for its outstanding energy efficiency.
Recently launched in the Philippines, LG’s 84LM9600 Ultra HD TV model contains eight million pixels and boasts of four times higher resolution than Full HD. With this, no one would question its crystal-clear picture quality, even while standing at a massive 84 inches for an enthralling viewing experience. What makes this TV go beyond expectations is how low it can go with energy consumption.
This affirmation was given by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a US-based certification agency that verifies environmentally friendly elements, such as reduced power consumption and higher resource recycling rate, through Environmental Claims Validations (ECV). LG’s Ultra HD TV obtained the ECV after proving that its power consumption can be reduced by up to 70 percent while maintaining sharp and crisp images.
Using its Smart Energy Saving technology, LG is able to capitalize on its highest power saving mode with any viewing condition, allowing users to enjoy the TV for a long period of time without having to worry about hefty costs.
The LG 84LM9600 TV was further acclaimed by the Underwriters Laboratories of USA and TÜV Rheinland, Europe, for its excellent picture quality. The accolade also addressed the TV’s extensive color gamut, response speed, luminance deviation, color temperature, and screen flickering.
“Underwriters Laboratories has certified the world-class technology of the LG Ultra HD TV for its energy saving capability and top-notch picture quality,” states Sanghui Park, vice president of LG TV’s Research and Development (R&D). “We will maintain our leadership in the next-generation display market based on this.”
On top of energy efficiency and excellent picture quality, the LG Ultra HD TV delivers powerful sound quality with its 50W audio bursting from a 2.2 speaker system. It is also equipped with LG’s Smart technology, in which users can easily enjoy their favorite programs, access preferred applications, connect to other devices, and share video content with anyone at any time or place. These options are facilitated by the customizable Smart home interface on the screen and controlled by users through LG’s upgraded Magic Remote, which requires nothing more than pointing, wheeling, drawing, and speaking to execute commands.

In the grand Rizal ballroom of Makati Shangri-La hotel, LG Electronics (LG) continues to establish itself as innovator in consumer electronics with the recent launch of its newest flagship models from Home Entertainment (HE) and Home Appliances (HA).
Included in the line-up are the world’s first 55-inch Cinema 3D Smart TV (55LA8600), the 84-inch Ultra HD 3D TV (84LM9600), the 9.1-channel Cinema Sound Home Theatre System (BH9530TW), the upgraded Inverter linear refrigerator, the Inverter Direct Drive washing machine, and the Inverter V split-type air conditioner.
Aptly called ‘LG Smart Choice’, the event was hosted by eminent TV personalities Sarah Meier and Rovilson Fernandez. Festivities were kicked off with a Twitter and Instagram game in which attendees were invited to spread the merriment surrounding the launch event and subsequently take home exciting LG products.
Amidst the state-of-the-art premium displays, esteemed guest speakers presented their views on the value and relevance of LG’s new products to today’s society. Undersecretary Loreta G. Ayson of the Department of Energy (DOE) shared her knowledge on the benefits of energy-efficient products for a more sustainable environment and way of life. Carol Chuaying, head of marketing of MagnaVision Philippines, expressed how the degree of picture quality has become imperative in selecting quality home entertainment.
Hyping on the top-notch picture quality of LG Smart TVs as well as the first-rate energy efficiency of LG Inverter refrigerators, washers, and air conditioners, these key messages educated the market on the consumer benefits and improved lifestyle that LG’s new technology offers.
“Driven by world-class technology and innovation, LG’s Smart new line-up aims to provide ultimate comfort and functionality in a user’s home,” Roland Dallarte, LG Electronics Philippines head of Corporate Marketing, stated. “Each feature was inspired by our consumers’ wants and needs in today’s technologically-equipped world. With home appliances, we strive to promote the importance of low energy consumption, and with TVs, we show how excellent image quality and advanced features result in an enhanced and intuitive user experience.”
For a more in-depth look at the highly developed LG line-up, managers per LG product division took the opportunity to deliver exclusive presentations and demonstrations. And throughout the commemorative unveiling of products, the audience was further entertained by the talented Buganda tribe.
Aside from HE’s picture quality and HA’s energy efficiency, LG guarantees high functionality and durability in all products due to its pioneering Smart and Inverter technologies. “Kitchens, living rooms, and other sections of a home can be managed efficiently and productively, making an investment in LG’s products the ‘Smart Choice’,” Dallarte finished.
